## Area Financial Controller in Harlow
We’re currently recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Area Financial Controller to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Harlow. This is a key leadership role, overseeing a small team of Assistant Financial Accountants and Accounting Assistants. The successful candidate will play an important part in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making.
### Position Overview
Role: Area Financial Controller
Location: Harlow
Salary: £55,000–£60,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent
### Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts, budgets, cost centre reports, and financial forecasts.
- Manage annual audits, tax filings, and statutory account preparation.
- Oversee cash management and treasury activities.
- Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledgers.
- Ensure all financial ledgers and processes comply with UK GAAP (FRS102) and relevant regulations.
- Maintain effective internal controls and ensure accuracy across financial systems.
- Manage and maintain the finance module in the ERP system.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to finance team members.
### Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance management role within a multinational company (MNC).
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related discipline.
- Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge in GL Accounting, Tax, Costing, AP/AR, and Reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
